Designed as a companion application for OakGate’s renowned Storage Validation Framework (SVF) software suite, the Universal Manufacturing Framework is highly intuitive and provides extensive capabilities that complement production test platforms for SSDs and flash storage.

OakGate’s UMF application engine was developed in close cooperation with one of the world’s largest supplier of enterprise class flash storage devices. This resulted in incorporation of several key features that provide advanced functionality as well as flexibility. For example, a test written for one protocol is completely portable to another protocol or platform. This allows users to leverage the investment in test scripts and automation. While the user interface is simple and intuitive, the underlying data gathering and analysis capability is extensive.
OakGate provides a comprehensive Software Development Kit (SDK) that allows customers to write their own automated test scripts for UMF. Since the hardware layer is abstracted, the SDK is very portable. The UMF software engine provides a thread for each individual DUT, giving users a high level of granularity without exposing underlying complexities. Customers also have the flexibility to select their preferred production test platform since the UMF application that is agnostic to the underlying hardware.
Universal Manufacturing Framework has already been deployed at multiple manufacturing sites of major OEM customers worldwide.
